The grizzly bear is one of the most popular and well known bear species that live on this continent. They eat a variety of plants and animals, such as berries, fish, roots, and insects. They will even eat animal carcasses (carrion) if there is a limited amount of food to eat. They live all across North America, mostly found in parts of the United States of America, Alaska, and Canada.

The Canada lynx is one of the few species of lynx that live in North America. They are found mostly in areas of Canada, which is where they get their name. They are carnivores, meaning they only eat meat. Their diet is made up of mostly snowshoe hares, voles, mice, and birds. They are able to walk on deep snow without sinking, thanks to their large paws that have really thick fur.

Also called "reindeer", caribou are one of the most recognizable hooved animals. With their thick, white and brown fur, their round, sloped noses, and their furry hooves, they look very different from their deer relatives. They are mostly found in the upper areas of North America, in the cold, snowy mountains and tundra. Their diet consists of a variety of plants and berries.

The bison is one of the largest hooved animals in North America. Even though they have really thick, brown fur covering their bodies from head to toe, they are actually related to cows. They are found in many different areas of this continent, but youy will mostly find them eating a variety of plants in areas of the United States of America. If you see this animal though, you have to give them some space because they are highly territorial.

This species of dog is one of the largest on this continent. They are found all over North America, from areas of the United States of America all the way up north to areas of Canada. They are also mostly carnivores, meaning they will eat animals such as moose, deer, and rabbits, but they will also eat berries if food is hard to find. Like many other dog species, they are known to be highly social and intelligent, communicating to one another using body language and sounds.
